What does a Security System have in common with Hearing Aids? Nothing! I have been searching for a new security company for my office and recently met with the sales representative from one firm. He was a very nice guy and really knew what he was talking about. During our conversation he mentioned that he had sold hearing aids for about a year. He told me that a friend of his invited him to come into a local franchise and sell hearing aids. He was told that the money was good. After a short … [Read more...]
Great Client Testimonial
It's always wonderful when a patient sends me a great Testimonial - here's one from Karen: "My hearing loss started as a small child and progressively worsened as I aged. About thirty years ago, I was fitted with an in the ear hearing aid. That experience lasted approximately one month. It was awful!! The sound of the dishwasher, silverware, paper, etc. just about drove me to distraction. 'Oh, it is just an adjustment period, you'll get used to it.' That was what was being said. Then the … [Read more...]
Anger
I know that anger seems like a funny title for a blog post. But, anger and frustration are two results of hearing loss. Many families report that because their loved one cannot hear well, they hear the wrong things. It certainly can cause problems with family dynamics. No one wants to … [Read more...]

It turned out that he was startled when people approached him and he struck out at them. He also spoke nonsense, because he heard nonsense. He was fit with hearing aids and he became a different person. … [Read more...]

This may never be a problem, or it could turn into a huge problem. If you are like many of my patients who live somewhere else in the summer, you may not be able to get your hearing aids serviced if you have a … [Read more...]
