April 7th is World Health Day
When we think of World Health Day and what it means, we don’t generally consider hearing.
Hearing is your one sense that is always on, even when you are sleeping. Hearing keeps you safe, helps you interact with friends, family and the environment.
Your ears control your balance, help you locate sounds in your environment, and allow you to hear your loved ones. Hearing keeps your life complete.
Did you know that kidney disease and heart disease can affect your hearing? Or that smoking not only hurts your lungs, it hurts your ears? What affects one part of your body affect all the other parts of your body. We know that eating well and exercising helps your body and it helps prevent hearing loss.
Hearing well prevents dementia and falls and allows you to lead a full life. If you feel that you are missing out on the sounds of life, give us a call at 727-323-2471.
