Have you been wearing a surgical mask to protect yourself? If you wear hearing aids, you must be careful when removing the mask.
It is very easy to accidentally remove your hearing aids and lose them. Be very careful when you remove the mask and check to make sure that your hearing aids are still in place.
We have all become much more aware of proper hygiene recently and that is a good thing. Good hygiene is also important with your hearing aids. You should wash your hands before and after handling your hearing aids.
When you take your hearing aids out for the night, it is important to disinfect them. We recommend Audio Wipes. They are designed specifically for hearing aids and will not harm them. When you remove your hearing aids, wipe them off thoroughly. This will also improve the sound quality. Once they are clean, put them in your clean case (wipe out with an alcohol pad). If you recharge your hearing aids, wipe the charger base also.
We also carry Perfect Dry Lux, which is a dehumidifier and uses UV light to disinfect hearing aids.
