Most everyone is wearing a face mask now. We will probably have to continue the use of face masks for several months. And people are being creative with them.
Sometimes it is hard to understand people wearing masks even with normal hearing. For individuals with hearing loss, it is even more challenging.
Some things to remember:
~ Look right at the person speaking.
~ If you do not understand, please ask them to speak up a little, but not to shout.
~ Ask them to speak slowly and clearly.
~ Do not talk while walking, it makes it more difficult to hear what is being said.
~ Ask them to repeat it, if it wasn’t clear.
If you are wear hearing aids and are having difficulty, we may be able to make adjustments to your hearing aids that will help. If you are struggling to understand, please give us a call at 727-323-2471.
