Don’t Put Off Taking Care of Your Hearing Loss.
That old adage-use it or lose it applies to hearing. Once the brain has been deprived of hearing the sounds of life for years, it never fully recovers, even with the best hearing devices.
I frequently see elderly people who should have addressed their hearing loss years ago. By the time I see them, they haven’t been hearing well for years and their families are at their wits-end. While I can help them, their outcomes are never as good as they would have been if they had addressed their hearing loss earlier. Additionally, they have lost so much quality of life that I find it very upsetting.
If you or a loved one are having difficulty hearing, early intervention is the key to doing well and having an improved quality of life.
