I know I have blogged about this before; however, recently several of my patients have come in after traveling and having problems.
Even if you are only going away for the weekend, pack extra wax filters and domes, (if you hearing devices use these).
Several patients have recently come in and told me that they couldn’t hear because they didn’t have any wax filters with them. There are dozens of different kinds of domes and filters and you may not be able to locate what you need when you are away from home. Besides, you don’t really want to spend your whole trip looking for supplies.
Pack your supplies in your carry-on baggage so that you can make sure you have what you need.
This includes batteries. Batteries in retail stores are not always reliable so have an extra supply with you.
