Tips if wearing new hearing aids

April 17, 2022 by Kathy

tips for hearing aid users

First time hearing aid user?

????

Here’s some helpful tips to make sure your experience is a good one!

1️⃣ Start out with wearing your hearing aids in quiet environments or at home to help yourself get used to extra sounds before heading out to a party or restaurant setting.

2️⃣ Take breaks in the beginning if you need to! If you’re feeling overwhelmed by all of the sounds you’re suddenly hearing, take a break from your hearing aids. You can work up to full time hearing aid use over the span of a few weeks.

3️⃣ Make sure you go to your follow-up appointments! Hearing aids are not a one size fits all solution! Many people need some tweaking to their initial hearing aid programming after a few weeks of getting used to how the hearing aids sound.

We are here to help if you or a family member is having any difficulties with hearing, hearing aids, hearing aid apps or Tinnitus please give us a call at 727-323-2471 and set up an appointment.
