What did you miss when you pretended to hear?
Life is full of challenges. It is easy blame not understanding on anything but the possibility of hearing loss.
I have heard all sorts of excuses over the years. “My wife mumbles.” “There is something wrong with the phone.” “There must be something wrong with your television.” “It’s too noisy in here.”
Since hearing loss is so gradual for most people, it is easy to blame anyone and anything for not understanding. Don’t be fooled, if you smile and nod, everyone knows that you didn’t understand what was being said.
