Every once in awhile one of my patients will bring in an ad for hearing aids that they have seen in the paper or received in the mail. They almost always talk about how cheap they are. Or if you buy two you get the second one for free, or get $1,500.00 off your purchase.
I recently saw an ad that said that if you purchased hearing aids, you would get a free 40″ television. Amazing. Don’t you wonder how much they are marking up their hearing aids in order to make these fabulous offers? I do.
These are all gimmicks to get you in the door and sell you something that might not even be appropriate for you. The care that you receive is the most important factor in success with any hearing aid. Most of these hearing aid stores are just interested in selling something. They don’t care if they ever see you again.

I believe in treating my patients right. I will never talk anyone into anything that isn’t appropriate. I want you to hear well. That is my goal.
So, if it looks too good to be true, it is.
