November 3, 2016 by Kathy

New University Study – Untreated Hearing Loss Leads to Higher Medical Bills

A new study completed at the Medical University of South Carolina looked at the data from a national healthcare claims database to see if there was a correlation between hearing loss and the use of healthcare.

The results over a period of eighteen months, medical costs were 33% higher for those with untreated hearing loss. Individuals with hearing aids paid less than individuals without hearing aids.
