*Check the restaurant’s reviews to see what others have to say about the noise level
*Ask your friends what their experience was at a particular restaurant
*Find a table next to the wall or in a quiet area – possibly a booth
Last year we were trying to put together a list of local restaurants in the St. Petersburg area that were hearing impaired friendly, but it was a very difficult task since some restaurants were quieter at certain times of the day or day of the week and there wasn’t a norm.
The important thing is to do your research ahead of time and then let the restaurant know that you have specific needs.
