Hearing Decrease after COVID-19

August 17, 2020 by Kathy

An interesting article in Hearing Health Matters about a decrease in hearing in COVID-19 patients.

According to University of Manchester, United Kingdom Audiologists in a study supported by the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), they found a significant number of patients who had COVID-19 experienced a deterioration in their hearing.

The article further states: The results, published in a letter to the International Journal of Audiology, adds to a growing body of anecdotal evidence that the strain of coronavirus which causes COVID-19, SARS CoV-2, has long-term impacts on health, and possibly hearing.
