Yard work and hearing aids don’t always mix well. Wearing your hearing aids while being outside, especially if it is humid, can expose your hearing aids to moisture (from the environment and from your sweat!) and dust/dirt. These things can lead to damage to your hearing aids!
????
If you have to wear your hearing aids while doing yard work, consider investing in a Dry & Store to use at night. This hearing aid dryer can help pull some of the moisture out of the hearing aids. Another option to protect your hearing aids while wearing them is Ear Gear!
Ear gear are basically spandex socks (yes, you read that right ????) that cover your hearing aids, preventing dust and dirt from getting into the microphones and to soak up some sweat or humidity before it gets into the hearing aid electronics.
