Head Injuries and Hearing Loss

June 7, 2022 by Kathy

Head injuries are often classified by severity: mild, moderate, and severe.

????

Typically, mild head injuries cause symptoms that last less than 15 minutes and no loss of consciousness.

????

Moderate and severe head injuries cause longer-lasting symptoms and/or loss of consciousness.

????

Because mild head injuries resolve quickly and do not cause a loss of consciousness, we often overlook these instances when asked about head injuries!

????

That’s why Broadwater Hearing Care will always ask about even mild head injuries that did not result in a loss of consciousness. This information could be very important to your medical management!
