The old saying, “You are what you eat,” may be true when it comes to tinnitus! So many patients are surprised when I tell them that alcohol, caffeine, and salt can all cause tinnitus or make it worse.
If you have tinnitus, consider creating a food diary to track what you eat when your tinnitus worsens or gets louder. Tracking these foods may help you identify your triggers and help you avoid them!
