There are a number of reasons why it is helpful to have someone along for your first visit.
1. It gives you an “extra pair of ears” to help you remember what you learn.
Sometimes there is a lot of information to remember.
2. It helps you to make better decisions about what you want to do.
3. It helps your partner know how to better communicate with you if you have a hearing loss.
